What is “Time For Children?”
Time For Children is a designated portion of Our Sunday Worship experience that is inclusive of all our children in the learning of scriptures and hearing God’s word. This 5-ish minute long segment entails one of our Sunday school teachers leading a group of our children in the telling of bible stories and asking critical questions. We are hopeful in raising up children who can learn to know about Christ and have a meaningful relationship to him by making their faith their own.
Sunday School Class
Our elementary aged children’s Sunday School class meets during our 10 a.m. worship service. Children leave for their class following the “Time for Children” during worship. We offer a “one room” Sunday school for our elementary aged children using the Deep Blue DVD Bible based curriculum. Our children enjoy stories, crafts and fun, while learning to follow Jesus.
Friday mornings from 10 – 11 a.m. in LeBard Hall… All children and their moms, dads, or other favorite people are invited to our Kids Story Time. “Grandmas and Grandpas” from our church family read and tell stories to all of the children present. Each week has a special theme. Following the stories, the gathering includes a snack, activity and free play.
Children’s Drama Team
Bardsdale UMC provides many opportunities for children of all ages to participate in numerous drama skits throughout the year. Skits embody themes of Pastor Bethany’s sermons, providing engaging experiences for parents and their kids. We hope the congregation may learn what God is saying through his word in addition to the dramatic arts.
