“I can do all things, through Christ, who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)

“I can do all things, through Christ, who strengthens me.”  (Phil. 4:13)

It’s been a whirlwind couple of months: two Annual Conferences, both with their own struggles and triumphs.  Two powerful Children’s programs, week-long, loving, Christ filled, fun, intensive.  Nearly overwhelming.  But I know that when I turn my life over to God; when I let the Holy Spirit lead me, when I ask Jesus to let me Feel Him near, “I can do all things, through Christ, who strengthens me.”

God’s grace offered to me in Christ surrounds me always.  Sometimes, I forget, tho’.  Sometimes I do feel overwhelmed.  And when I turn again to Christ, and whisper or hollar the prayer, “Help me!” I am comforted; my prayer is answered.  And when my overwhelm is overcome, I whisper or hollar the prayer, “Thank You,” and the peace within the Grace of God surrounds me.

When I worked at the grocery store in Silver Lake, I rode my bike to work.  And, especially when I was riding home, at 3 or 5 pm, my ride home was sustained on the wings of prayer: “Please, Lord, get me safely through the parking lot.”  “Thank You, Lord, for getting me safely through the parking lot.”  “Please, Lord, get me safely down the street/ around the corner/ through the intersection/ home.”  And then, “Thank You, Lord, for getting me safely down the street/ around the corner/ through the intersection/ home, again.  Thank You, Lord, for getting me home.”

The love and grace of God is With you: Always.  Only remember: “I can do all things, through Christ, who strengthens me.” Blessings, Pastor Bethany
