Daily Reflection July 29 by Pastor Serina Rice

Beloved Community,

The first few months of the pandemic we were all powering through. We were in this together. We were holding our breath and waiting for it all to be over.

But after more than 4 months we have expended all our patience, and the emotional strain is wearing on us. It is so easy to release our self-restraint and let our pent-up feeling take over and vent in whatever way gives us a moment of release.

That’s why I need this prayer. To remind me of my center. To anchor me to the fierce kindness that I want to define me.

May this prayer keep all of us anchored to God’s way in our broken world.
