Welcome Visitors
Worshiping with us for the first time?
We know that attending a church for the first time can be uncomfortable. Here is what you can expect. Whether you are a life long church-goer or this is your first time in a church, you will find a warm welcome at Bardsdale United Methodist Church.
What is it like? As United Methodist Christians, we focus on Jesus, community, and the journey of faith. Sunday mornings at Bardsdale are active. You will be greeted by friendly faces.
At 8:30 a.m. we worship in our downstairs social hall in a service that is more casual with an upbeat feel. Media and strong Biblical teaching is used in our messages. Coffee and refreshments are available all throughout the service and we encourage you to make yourself at home and grab a cup of coffee at any time during the service. At 10 a.m. we worship in our beautiful sanctuary with a user-friendly traditional type service. We sing hymns and read prayers together, and our choirs add special music to our service. Monthly we celebrate Communion at both worship services, with anyone and everyone welcome to share in this special meal where we are reminded of how much God loves us.
For more information on our worship services, go to our worship page.
Will I be expected to give money? When you are worshiping with us for the first time, we want you to know that we will not expect you to place anything in the offering plate during our morning offering. If you feel moved to give something, then do so but know we do not expect or require this of you. We want our time together to be our gift to you.
Who is welcome? Everyone - no matter who you are or where you have been - is welcome at Bardsdale UMC.
Are children welcome? YES! At both of our worship services! During the 10 a.m. service, our children our invited to come up for an interactive time for children with a story just for them. They are then free to go to Sunday School, or they can remain with you in worship.
